Catholic Services

Hungerford & Clark Funeral Home has a great relationship with our local Catholic churches.

Our direct communication with the church will ensure you can smoothly design and personalize your service. We can also arrange for a catholic prayer service at our funeral home instead of going into church.  Even if you don’t attend a specific church in our community, our experience and relationships will allow us to connect you with the resources you’ll need for your funeral services.

Catholic funerals observe many rites and traditions, and there are several choices to be made when planning, including the reading of Bible passages, music, and  prayers. You can choose to have an open or closed casket wake with burial or cremation to follow.

We will also assist you in choosing a cemetery, whether a Catholic cemetery or another type.  If cremation is chosen we will guide you on having a catholic service with your loved ones body present before the cremation takes place or we will help plan a memorial service/mass after the cremation has taken place with just your loved ones cremains present in an urn.  It is our honor to help you utilize all the options for a Catholic service in the ways that best help you.

Protestant Services

Hungerford & Clark Funeral Home has a strong relationship with the various Protestant churches in our community. Whether your faith is Lutheran, Episcopalian, Methodist or any other segment of the protestant religion we’ll help you communicate directly with any of these churches, or any other church or minister you select, to personalize and design your service.

For a Protestant service, your family can choose an open casket and viewing  or a wake with a closed casket, a burial or cremation will then take place after the wake. You also can plan a service with an urn after cremation. You can choose to have a church service or not. You can also hold a vigil, a powerful moment of reflection for friends and family. All these steps allow you to personalize your remembrance of your loved one in creative ways.

Even if you don’t attend a specific church in our community, our experience and relationships will allow us to connect you with the resources you’ll need for your funeral services whether at church or at the funeral home.

It is our honor to help you understand all the options for a Protestant service.
