Jeanne I. Frein-Guido

Jeanne Frein-Guido of Freeport on August 28, 2019 passed away at the age of 76 from cancer. Her career in nursing began in 1963 when she graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Brooklyn, N.Y. Jeanne and the late Vincent Frein married in 1964 and they had two wonderful children: Richard (Tracy), Lindsey and Jack and Rebecca (Erik), Cory and Kendrick. She watched four awesome grandchildren grow and cherished every moment spent with them! Jeanne and Bill Guido, a widow ,were married in 2008 where they shared a wonderful retirement together. Here she inherited a new stepfamily : Robert (Patricia), Will and Nicky and Thomas: (Lynda), Eric, Richard and Christopher, ?ve wonderful boys! Jeanne, having a strong interest in parent oriented childbirth taught Lamaze Childbirth Classes to hundreds of expectant parents throughout Nassau County. This gave her much enjoyment. In 1981 she graduated from SUNY with a bachelors degree and then from Adelphi University in 1990 with a Masters degree. Her major work experience was in education where she was employed at the Leo F. Giblyn School in Freeport as the School Nurse - Teacher for 26 years and then retired in 2008. She conducted Health Fairs and taught Health to the third and forth grade students as well as health screenings for all students. Jeanne always made time for fun and she went camping and skiing every year while raising her kids, had many great friends, loved her boat and learned to play golf later in life. Jeanne had much enjoyment and excitement during her retirement: she continued skiing, gol?ng, boating, and began spending winters in Florida with Bill, going on family vacations in New England, and attending the soccer, lacrosse, and ice hockey games of all nine of her loving grandchildren. She also leaves behind her cherished sister Kathy, (Ed,)Eileen, Eddie, Dan and Jeanine, and grandnephews and nieces Matthew, Victoria and Peter, her life-long friend from kindergarten Mary, her sister -in law Patricia (Richard) and David, her cousins, Giblyn friends, "bookies "from book club, and her loving golf buddies from Ladies golf.
