Silvio Keper
April 11, 1954 - December 6, 2021
Silvio Keper, veteran, craftsman, handyman extraordinaire, passed away on December 6, 2021, at the age of 67. Born in Argentina to Italian and Polish parents, he was raised in the city of Lomas de Zamora, where he often played soccer, ate delicious food and helped his neighbors fix their cars or maintain their houses. After moving to Freeport, N.Y. in 1981, he developed a reputation as a highly respected tool and die maker as well as an avid collector of watches, clocks and tools from all over the world. He also loved listening to the Eagles, watching James Bond films, and buying freshly-cooked bread at the bakery every Sunday. Another passion of Silvio’s was World War II, specifically military aircraft, since much of his career involved manufacturing airplane parts. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Alicia, his daughters, Romina and Erika, and his son-in-law, Sean. Rest in peace in your treehouse in heaven. A visitation for family & friends will be held on Friday from 2pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm at Hungerford & Clark Funeral Home 110 Pine St. Freeport N.Y. 11520. A final gathering will take place at the funeral home on Saturday morning at 10:30am. We will be leaving for Pinelawn Memorial Park at 11am.
