Robert Fields was born in Panama on August, 15 1939 to Doris Sanchez and Robert Fields. He grew up with his brother Ricardo and sister Norma by Airport Road. Although Norma was the oldest he was very protective of his sister. His mother always told him he had the prettiest eyes and she loved him very much. All the boys in the neighborhood admired him and looked up to him. Robert went by two names - Bobby as his friends called him and Junie as his family called him. He studied at Instituto Nacional and worked at Pasa and Panama Auto as a car parts salesman.He met Doris Lee and they later married, a union that lasted over 50 years. In 1968 Robert, Doris and their two children Giovanni and Gisela emigrated to the United States. Robert worked at Alden Volkswagen as a parts manager until he retired in 1995. He loved jazz music, baseball, basketball, fishing, horse racing, boxing and traveling with his family. Robert will be missed and always loved by his wife Doris Fields, children Giovanni Fields & Gisela English, brother Ricardo Fields, sister in law Randy Fields, sister Norma Burden brother in law Joe Burden, daughter in law Virginie Fields, granddaughter Gina Fields, nieces Yvette Fields, Yamise Crittendon, Jessica Burden, Jeannie Burden, Jennifer Burden, nephew Joe Burden Jr, cousins Vilma Granum, Vesta Tapia and a host of other family and friends. The family wishes to extend thanks and gratitude for the many expressions of sympathy and kindness shown to us during this time of bereavement.
