Kathleen M. Randall

September 10, 1936 - May 25, 2022

Randall, Kathleen M. - Long-time Freeport resident passed away on May 25, 2022 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Randall. Loving mother of Kathleen (Robert), Doreen (Thomas), Robert (Glenn), the late James (Rosaline) and Shawn (Laura). Cherished Grandma to Kimberly, Bobby, Deirdre, Shannon, Keith, Maggie, Rob and Matthew and beloved GiGi to Sienna, the late Galvis, Ashton, Alexa, Bobby and Lily. Kathleen was born in Brooklyn and raised in Valley Stream. She graduated from Stella Maris High School. She married in 1956, started a family and moved to Freeport in 1960. After being widowed in 1973, Kathleen began her career as a 911 dispatch operator for Nassau County, a job that was both interesting and rewarding. She eventually left Nassau County employment, taking a brief hiatus before joining Freeport Police in the same capacity where her son and grandson are police officers. After retirement Kathleen enjoyed many years of travel and leisure time with family and friends. For the past several years, she was especially fortunate to enjoy the company of her caretaker and companion, Maggie. Cremation will be private. A Funeral mass will be held at Our Holy Redeemer R.C. Church on Friday July 1st at 9:45am. Interment of ashes to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Kathleen was extremely charitable and the family request that in lieu of flowers a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or a charity of your choosing, be made in her name.
