To watch the live stream on Saturday 11/26/22 at 9am please click the following link- https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/8465004495 Anthony Lin Emile went home to be with the Lord on Saturday November 12th 2022 at the age of 94 while in the care of the Parker Jewish Institute in Queens, New York after a long illness. From his birth at Port-a-Piment in the South of Haiti on June 9th 1928, Lin as he goes by, better known as Pere Lin, lived a life full of happiness and contentment. His devotion to his loved ones and friends was always on display. He was born to Aubierge Lubin and Erzulda Emile and was one of the four brothers: Ludovic Emile, Lin Emile, Gabin Emile to whom he was the twin and Roger Emile who recently passed away. He also has a sister Erta Theodore. Lin went to school in his hometown of Port-a-Piment. He soon after moved to the Capital (Port-au-Prince) in the pursuit of a better life which by all accounts he did accomplish for himself and his family. In Port-au-Prince, Pere Lin made a living by working as a para-legal. In that role, he became a voice for the little people who did not have the means to afford a lawyer. This earned him the nickname of “Maitre Emile”. January 2010 was a pivotal moment in his life as he dramatically survived the earthquake that ravaged Haiti. This traumatic experience prompted him to permanently move to the United States. Here he lived with his children and wife and the majority of his late senior years were spent enjoying the company of his grand-children. Pere Lin always said “I have no money, I am broke but I am not poor. I am the richest man on earth and my children are my wealth.” He is survived by his wife Marie Livia Emile, his children: Violette, Sterlin and wife Clara, Guerda and late husband Fresnel Abellar, Neree and husband Leveque Henry, Myriam and husband Leonce Avignon, Sherley and husband Jean Robert Fede, Marie Alixe and husband Edouard Belotte, Marie Geralde, Lindsey and wife Diane, Joseph (Frerot)and wife Marie B , Darline and husband Will Paul and Ruben’s, his step son Jean Mario Chery and wife Rose Relise ; his grand-children: Nicolette, Nicolas, Letasha, Ohimai, Stanley, Stephanie, Lydia, Nancy, Guernel, Richard, Sarah, Mitzi, Karissa, David, Kenleigh, Kristopher, Alexander, Audrey, David-Anthony, Carl-Philip, Danielle, Lubin, Danika, Danley, Merveline and Andy Mario; his great grand-children: Eden, Amel, Sherard, Sanigh, Samiayah. He is pre-deceased by Grand-sons Marvin Abellar and Jephte Chery. Special Acknowledgment to all the nieces, nephews and other family members, somes of which saw him as a father figure; this is how much Pere Lin was loved and appreciated
